Using the Index

USING THE INDEX

The CGGI is a diagnostic tool for governments to measure their capabilities and effectiveness, relative to peer governments and over time. In doing so, the CGGI supports governments to have deeper reflections and productive discussions on strengthening their capabilities, and to take a concrete step towards progress.

Assessment and Benchmarking

As a useful first step, governments can use the website’s tools and features to identify areas of strength and weakness, and compare their performance on the Index, relative to the global average and their peer countries over time.

Country-Focused CGGI Workshop: Insights and Trends

Request for an interactive CGGI workshop that focuses on an individual country. The workshop will involve a deep-dive into the trends associated with the country's performance on the Index relative to peer groups and over time, as well as the strengths and opportunities for progress.

Government Capability Scorecard

Following the initial workshop, co-develop a customised and detailed Government Capability Scorecard to enhance understanding of areas for action and reform. This comprehensive Scorecard will include additional sub-metrics for more granular, contextually relevant measures of progress and will help identify areas requiring targeted action.
